This is the front cover of an existing Kerrang magazine. The colour scheme is vibrant and I think the use of the contrasting colours is a good way to make the magazine stand out. The main 'KERRANG!' title is very large and spreads across the width of the front cover which I think is effective. The same text has been used for the other titles on the cover which makes the magazine look consistent. The main picture of Billy Joe is effective for the cover as he is on his own with a plain background. The 'PLUS!' bar along the bottom of the cover has been used to show the other bands that will be inside the magazine and I would like to use this on my magazine. There are several boxes on the cover which break the page up well. Overall I like the look of the Kerrang front cover as I think it appeals to the teenage audience very well, and I would like to use a similar layout for my own magazine.
