These are some other different kind of NME covers. NME did 10 special edition covers and I really like the minimalism of the covers. I like how the background are simply a white background however the shadowing also adds detail. They also all have a main house style colour for each week which would make them easily distinctive amongst the other magazines on the shelf. They also have a build up saying, 'Introducing the new NME 7/10 special edition covers'. This would appeal to the audience as they are limited edition and therefore wont be out for long, giving them a special feature. The poses are all very unique, I particularly like the Laura Marling pose as I have never seen it on another magazine, it is quite casual which is unusual compared to most photos on the front covers of magazines.
However for my contents page I like would choose a more busy yet still organised approach. I like it to be packed as it makes the magazine look more interesting and that the consumer is getting more for their money as it is packed with information. I will fill my contents page with pictures along with other bits of information for instance tour dates of a well known artist, along with the page numbers of my magazine.
