Q Magazine Research

My magazine style will be based on 'Q' magazine, as my audience is aimed at around 20-40 year olds which is similar to Q's target audience. I will also take the simplistic style of Q and use it throughout my work to create an effective few pages.
The 'Q' placed at the top left of the cover is very bold, and is very easily recognised. Also, the red and white theme is continued on the rest of the cover which works well.
The image used for instance on this cover is a very striking photo of Cheryl Cole which is eye-catching, and also leaves good space to write text around. I need to take a photo like this which is striking, yet good to work with.
