When I started my planing, I had to wright my script, but this came after a series of mind maps devloping my story line of my film. After the story line was comfurmed about how it would be a lawyer, taking on this serial killer case, knowing that he has killed his past barristers. And that the story would follow the court case and lawyers relationship with his client. Taking into account that my clip would only be about 3 minutes, I have decided to only film the first two scenes.
Script
Scene 1
Person1: Been in custody for 4 weeks now, pleading guilty to 32 accounts of murder, now 35. Boss wants a quick and easy trail, to keep the press out, harder than it sounds.
John: So that’s why I get called in the middle of the night, offered allot of money to come here. To get it done nice and quick?
Person1: No.
John: No?
Person1: You’d get a bonus for the risk involved...the last three accounts were his barristers that the court assigned him.
John: Oh. Great.
Person1: He says they were evil, and that he had to cleanse them.
John: Religious nut then?
Person1: He denies it, says he does it for him, not god or society. That’s what he told Kevin seconds before he stabbed him in the neck with a fountain pen.
John: That payment is looks a lot smaller now.
Person1: Listen John, this guy is a maniac; if we could we’d put him in a cell and have him forgotten about. But the law states that he needs a free and fair trail, no one would think less of you for not taking this case.
John: No, I recon I can handle it.
Scene 2
John: Are you meant to have pens?
Sharpie: Good behaviour, Apparently.
John: really?
Sharpie: Well it’s been a week or two since my last victim. That means I’ve been good. Question is, are you a man of good behaviour, as if you are not. I would suggest that you turn around and leave, before we make this 36.
John: I would think that I am well behaved. Can’t think of anything that I am ashamed of.
Sharpie: well congratulations. As you could guess I want to plea insanity, you would think many people would argue with that.
John: The prosecutor wants to put you in prison, not a hospital.
Sharpie: What a great idea, put a man who has to kill bad people in a prison. Jesus I thought you lot was meant to be cleaver.
John: So you see yourself as a vigilantly then? That will help your defence, claim you wanted to be a hero.
Sharpie: Heros don’t kill people for stealing pick and mix. And vigilantes want to help society. I’ve seen alot of darkness, know what men realy want and what they are realy like. Trust me when I say, they really don't deserve saving, not after what they have become.
John: And what have they become?
Sharpie: Their all the same, everyone of them. They are all sinners.
