Evaluation Question Five

HOW DID YOU ATTRACT/ADDRESS YOUR AUDIENCE?

The first thing i did to attract my audience was to use bands that i know my audience would like, bands that are familiar to the target audience. For example, i used bands like fine young firecrackers and my emergency, not bands like rihanna and tinie tempah!

I also used a number of different pictures and loads of different colour of texts, this makes the magazine appear more interesting and busy, rather than being plain and boring! If the magazine looks like there is a lot going on, the audience would be attracted to it as they would want to know the information and whats going on, all the newest bands and band gossip. An example of this is Kerrang magazine or Rock Sound!

I used a really bright range of colour too, as most music magazines tend to stick to dark colours with a bright colour for the main headlines and titles, such as a red main colour and black and white background. I used that bright teal colour, yellows and purples to gain my audience attention, as not many magazines do this and would give a bit of life to the magazine stands as it looks summery and completly different to magazines of its type.

Overall, i think i've attracted my audience quite well, using things that are still similar to competing magazines but with a colourful twist, which would make the audience want to buy it as they are already familiar with the type of magazine and whats included, yet it's got a different edge to it and is more experimental with colours and incentives.
