Plan For Front Cover

After making some development with my front cover by establishing a title, I thought I should make a simple plan to give me an idea of how to set out my cover. From my research I have established that my cover should include:

- Masthead

- Title

- Artist image

- Headline/Main feature

- Other features

- Some form of competition

- List of other bands

I have also found that in almost every magazine, music or not, there is a barcode section. This is how a customer purchases the magazine so it is vital. This usually includes small text indicating the date, issue number, price etc. Here are examples of this from my researched magazines:
